Manitoba Hydro Place's 35,600 cubic metre concrete structure is designed to create a thermal mass that moderates the impact of extreme temperature swings, and to provide a flexible, column-free loft condition for maximum flexibility. Radiant cooling and heating systems located within the exposed concrete ceiling maintain a comfortable temperature year round.
